Lowell Jazz Day Camp
Immerse yourself in Jazz
This is a unique summer immersion experience offering quality instruction
in a brand-new music production facility. In addition group lessons, musicianship,
theory classes and guest clinicians; The ensembles will then record two full length songs at The Space's recording studio.
Each ensemble will perform outside
the Mambo Grill in downtown Lowell during the "Lowell Folk Festival"on July 23.
The Lowell Folk Festival is the largest free folk festival in the United
States attended by thousands. It is made up of three days of traditional
music, dance, craft demonstrations, street parades, dance parties, and
ethnic foods.

Lowell Jazz Workshops
Two Jazz Workshops: August 9th-13th & August 16th-20th
Workshop description: 1 Week long. Group lessons studying Jazz and other styles of music, reading, improvisation. Ensemble playing all styles of music. Recital Friday evening at end of week.Call The Space at 978.459.4755 or pre-register here
Two Week Program
Dates:
July 12 – 23, Monday – Friday, from 9am – 4pm
Curriculum
9-11am — Group lessons specified by instrument
11-noon — Musicianship: Career information (on Wednesdays, faculty jams)
Noon-1pm — Lunch
1-2pm — Music theory (on Thursdays, guest clinicians)
2-4pm — Ensembles
July 23, Friday, each Ensemble with go in the studio to record two songs
July 23 and 24, Ensembles with play at the Mambo Grill, downtown Lowell, during the Lowell Folk Festival.
Tuition
Two week course: $1,430.00.
Early registration (before July 1st)
$1,230.00.
Includes cd of all jazz camp ensembles and live show.
Space is limited. A $100.00 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your space.
